When it comes to God's peace, the Truth is sitting there, but we don't see it. We rarely see stillness because stillness is the backdrop of motion. We are pleased and punished by continual movement.
We go back and forth between things coming together and unraveling. It's our own blind struggle to win peace that causes the disturbance. No order, no peace.
There is a thief among us. (We invest in forms -- thoughts and feelings.) They are like dust particles in the Light.
Thieves of Peace: Thinking why others behave as they do. Building a case against anyone. Comparing oneself to others. Reliving past moments to measure its meaning. Anticipating anything at all to come. There are parts in us dedicated to stealing peace.
Story: A father takes his little girl to an old growth forest. The moving shadows frightened her. Then the fathers took her to a mountain where they sat and watched the shadows and the light from above.
Deliberately place your attention above the disturbance. We are disturbed because our minds go to the particular. Even when troubled, the peace sits behind you. Defy the disturbance. Remember the peace.
