In any moment when you are filled with dread or apprehension about what you know you must do, or when you know that you are about to enter into a highly reactive moment, deliberately go in as a witness to the moment. Understand that the negativity you feel is because a part of you has taken a "position" and is feeling pushed. When you know something in you wants to run counter to the moment, and you choose not to bring that "I" into the moment with you, you are given an awareness of that self and the condition that brings it up. Become the witness of what unfolds outside of and within you at the same time. Now you aren't apart from life, you are within it.
