We must always remember that with all things it is necessary to remember levels and scale, meaning that even though someone may be caught up in a form of emotional stimulation -- as they imagine God and his love -- it's possible that it's just an immature form of that love that God seeded in them, one that is yet to mature, blossom, to the fullness of grace in its stillness and surrender.
It can be difficult to understand, but love is not a noun... or an adverb: "love" is a true verb -- meaning it is a constant act of creation, the marriage of the opposites by the light that combines them, and transforms them into something newer and truer, even as it releases that new form into a higher perfection.
As for true prayer: it is the silent but sincere wish that the divine reveal to us the truth of ourselves... for in this revelation is both integration, release, and communion with the celestial source of ourselves in all of its forms.
