Put Pain in Its Rightful Place and Realize Peace

A person has to go through so much before they realize that their response to life is an incomplete one. Our response is completely mechanical. We are captives of unconscious convictions that prohibit us from learning responses we were created to give.  When we feel pain what do we do? Identify, resist, and surrender to the pain. The way I respond to life doesn't change. Everyone pretends not to have pain. We don't know what to do with it.

There is a doorway a person must pass through or they will never change. A person must say, "Grant me peace. I have a pain that won't go away no matter what I do."

Nothing you see outside you is responsible for the pain you feel. The whole idea of future peace has to disappear -- it doesn't exist. We have to learn what it means to make peace with life.

In nature everything is give and take. Or physical being is part of this give and take. Spiritually it's give and request. God says I will give what you need to transcend pain.  I will give you opportunity to understand that your pain is because of willfulness and self-centeredness. We are not interested in "pain's place." It is something that I am requested to give back.

The pain is part of the peace that you seek. We must bring the pain into the Light. Submit the pain to God, where it belongs. Pain when submitted to God is transformed into humility. Humility is the most missing quality in the world. I must say to God, "this is yours." God will transform it into something new. God says, "If you don't give this pain to me, it's yours to keep."

You can't give what you deny or blame. My last attachment is to my suffering because it defines me. God shows me that there is no such person who is in pain. When you refuse to follow your pain, you begin to be made into a different kind of creature. Peace becomes the purpose of life.
