The awakening process -- in terms of "how" it manifests itself -- is literally different for every human being within whom it takes place. No flower ever opens in the same way, at the same time, or reveals the same colors. Even its fragrance depends upon the amount of sunlight it receives at any given moment.

All of this is to say when it comes to the entrance of higher consciousness -- of its energies -- into this heart mind and body of ours, all bets are off!

Besides, it really doesn't matter what happens to us -- what we see, what takes place around us or within us, if our sole intention is the realization of God in our life. If we are to discover the truth of ourselves -- including all of its high and low, dark and light expressions, then everything that happens to us as a result of this wish can and must be used by us for that same aim.

Strangely enough, one of the ways in which a person can be somewhat certain that Spirit has begun to act on them, is that changes begin to take place in their lives that they have not initiated; this includes, but is not limited to, certain people no longer wanting to have anything to do with us, while attracting others to us that we become friends with that we never would have befriended before.

It's all a great mystery -- a delightful divine mystery! It is not -- and cannot be for quite some time fully enjoyable; but the time comes when we see that what is working upon us has only our best interests in mind, and at that point a new kind of fearlessness comes in to fill the heart. We make the great discovery that all things good come to those for whom the good is all things. Persist!
