If it weren't for the presence of a punishing sense of guilt, born of a highly conditioned (and therefore false morality) it wouldn't even cause you a pause to do what is right with those who do you wrong . . . especially once you've asked them to behave better, or face the consequences. Should a wild animal appear in your living room and begin to tear it apart, you would not think twice about having it removed, whatever that required. With this in mind, when another human being -- regardless of whether they are "family" or not -- cannot act civil and responsibly in your presence, let alone with your property, then you have absolutely no responsibility towards them at all other than to remove them from your life with no possibility of returning into it unless they apologized for their rude behavior, and agreed to live according to your wishes. In fact, it is your spiritual responsibility to make such corrections with those who abuse you, otherwise you enable the offending party, as well as enabling the weakness (in yourself) that is afraid to act for 'fear of' losing whatever it imagines might be lost.
