Exercise
Be an "Empty Space Filler" Catcher. Notice when you are suddenly disturbed and become "busy" with an activity to deflect the discomfort. Feel the sensation of that old "I" and then choose to step out of its current. Make a list of things that you can't let go of from your "toy chest" such as: reliving conversations, revisiting regrets, thinking about other people, worrying. Use these moments to begin to practice emptiness. If you don't work to leave an empty space, nothing new can be born. By allowing the emptiness you will begin to experience the depth and breadth of an intelligence that is designed to fill you with a new order of being -- your True Self.
