Realize Your Role in a Timeless Love Story that Can't Be Told

You can't know with your mind what is calling you to make the interior journey that saints and sages have spoken about.

"Out beyond ideas of wrong-doing and right-doing there is a field. I’ll meet you there." -- Jalal al-Din Rumi -- "For he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." -- New Testament -- These two passages are essentially saying the same thing.

Part of the interior journey is to enter into another order of being that allows for the opposites to pass through its field of awareness, but is never defined by those opposites.

Everything that is created requires the interplay of three parties: an active force, a passive force, and a reconciling force.

One side of an opposite always attracts the other corresponding side. If opposites did not attract, then both sides would forever remain as they are.

Each quality in our consciousness is, in itself, incomplete. And each quality draws to it what is needed in order to be integrated into something that did not exist before.

A mind that is set against itself is always setting out to free itself. Everything that the mind suggests to itself turns out to be the next disturbance that it must free itself from.

We are the point at which the will of what is timeless intersects with what is in time. It is an unending marriage, where love is acting upon its lover to produce a new birth.

You can only have your own life when you understand what it is that gives you life.

What is being acted upon must agree to be acted upon. Without that voluntary agreement, there can be nothing new.

The divided mind is opposed to what is new. It measures life through what it already knows. What it wants is the continuity of the sense of self, and therefore rejects anything that would interrupt it.

You are convinced that things should not be the way they are, when they ARE that way. Rejecting the way things are is rejecting the revelation of the nature responsible for the state of things.

Love requires a surrender of who and what you have been. It is love that reveals who and what you have been. Love is always revealing what must be surrendered. There is no moment that is not preparing you for love.

The exercise is to let go and let love have its way with you. The true act of letting go is understanding -- because it has been revealed to you -- that what you thought was valuable that you have been carrying around, is not valuable at all. Agree to let love consume what it will consume.
