You are tired because you think yourself into exhaustion.

One of the pitfalls along the way is that our minds are starving for things to think about.

The purpose of a spiritual school is not to give you something new to think about. The purpose is to show you the need to point your attention in another direction.

Familiarity breeds contempt. Boredom is built into identification.

There is nothing new in any thought you will ever have. The newness is in the new relationship you have with thought.

You are driven to discover because you have a need to know who you are. What you want is to let the need lead. Spiritual need is the seed of faith.

What put the need for discovery in you will always give you what will answer the need. What put the need in you will see to its flowering.

Your highest possibilities are fulfilled in accordance with your willingness to die to yourself.

Anytime you have a desire, all of your attention goes onto that desire.

Presently it is resistance itself that prays for human beings, because our prayers are usually connected to something we are avoiding in favor of something that we want.

As soon as the mind identifies the reason why it is in pain, then it knows what to pray for.

What if you lived with just the need, instead of needing to find the answer through thought? What if you just live with the suffering that you can't answer for yourself. What if the solution is built into the need? The antidote is in the venom. Learn to let the need be your living prayer.

Lies are creations of a lower level of consciousness that is afraid of revelation. Lies are a form of self-protection. The big lie is that there is a personal self to begin with.

The whole idea of a time to come is a lie.

The more you don't want something, the more you perpetuate the very thing you don't want.

Thought about the Divine creates more distance between yourself and the Divine that you are thinking about.

What you see and experience is your level of understanding.

The need can't be separated from what answers it. To voluntarily suffer yourself is to not answer the need of yourself. The need is to realize that the Divine placed the need in you in the first place.

A teacher is not here to answer your questions. A teacher is here to help you see that you need to look in another direction.
