The Search for the Truth Starts Here

The divided consciousness asks a question about its pain, and then immediately answers its own question.

When the mind asks a question, you think you have to answer it.

It is possible by the grace of God to come to the end of every last question you have. The question creates the illusion of a self that is stuck.

How often have we asked a question about our pain and then completely forgot about it until the same condition came around again to disturb us?

Knowledge is ignorance, but unknowing is the path to wisdom. Knowledge is ignorance because any painful sense of self is a derivative of what we think we know.

The dreamer and the dream are a singularity, but when we are asleep and dreaming, we believe that we are separate from the dream.

The experience doesn't have a name. You give the experience a name based on the content of your past, so that you can then know what to do about it.

When the moment is allowed to complete itself, then there is no "you" necessary at all.

Anytime the mind is talking to you about a disturbance, it is separating itself out from the disturbance.

Why does something in you want to think about things that it does not want?

A real answer does not solve the problem of your pain. A real answer exposes the truth about the problem-maker.

Thinking about the problem you don't want is secretly thinking about yourself.

If you could see yourself as you are, then there would be no war.

Can a human being live without symbols? A real human being knows that there is no love in the worship of any symbol. Identification is always an act of ignorance.

Anytime you ask the question "Why is life like this?", you are ensuring that in time you will ask the question again.

The last thing that we think about is how much pain the other person is in. The first thing we usually think about is how much pain we are in, and how it is the other person's fault.

Love shows you what is not loving. The Work is the path of negation. "Sell all and follow me." Leave everything that you love, because what you presently love is the source of your pain.

The more real understanding there is, the less there is of the knower who believes he understands.
