Student reports on the exercise given during the 2/10/16 Classroom Talk ""5 Words to Help You Start Ruling Any Negative Reaction."" Identify a few places in your life where you know a disturbance is coming -- for example, when someone doesn't smile at you, or you need to make a call to tech support. Then be watchful, and when the moment comes notice how something starts talking to you -- the door opens and a ""reactoid"" is there at your doorstep. Instead of identifying with the part of you that resists the initial impression, close the door on the spot, saying, ""There's nothing here for you!"" Stay awake to the pain of the reactoids as they try to get you to open the door again. Don't open the door -- be done with it, which requires a certain ruthlessness. Understand that the reactoids can't do a thing without you giving them your attention. As you place your attention on your inner home, the reactoids will fade away and you will begin to finally be free of these negative reactions and the pain that comes with them.
