Student Talks: 05/2/2025 - For us, death – even as we “learn to live” in its fearsome shadow – seems to mark the end of all that we have known; a looming “last show” when the theatre will be closed, and the final curtain drawn. But, there is another kind of death; and it is the end of fear: rebirth realized in the voluntary sacrifice, and concurrent death of the “knower”.

Student Talks: 04/25/2025 - The life and death of the Christ did not happen two-thousand years ago, any more than the rising and setting of the sun belongs to a particular place and time. Seen, or not, the life of Christ is always now…as is His sacrifice for the sake of the continuing perfection of the human Soul.

Student Talks: 04/18/2025 - Painful reactions are born of an unseen resistance (to life). This means our suffering isn’t created by the unwanted situation blamed for it, rather it is the negative effect of being identified with a lower level of consciousness that believes the best way to deal with unwanted moments...is by not wanting them!

Student Talks: 04/11/2025 - There is no condition in our life -- immediately present, or apparently lingering -- that isn't perfectly suited to help us change the way we see, understand, and ultimately transcend...not just every experience we may have in life, but the level of consciousness responsible for its appearance.

Student Talks: 04/04/2025 - No one wins freedom who hasn't first realized the invisible relationship between resistance and revelation, and how one cannot appear without the other; wherein to see that they secretly serve one another, is to put both in your service.

Student Talks: 3/28/2025 - We can be -- and often are -- sound asleep going through the motions of life with our eyes wide open. To be able to see — to be aware of - what our mind is actually looking at, experiencing, and responding to…is the first step in the process of awakening; it not only strengthens our wish to attend to the present moment, but to remember that any time our mind is unattended…it slumbers in fitful dreams, from which it cannot awaken itself. 

Student Talks: 3/21/2025 - It may be said that one finds freedom from suffering over oneself in direct proportion to one's realization that there is no separate self whose suffering is to be resisted.

Student Talks: 3/14/2025 - We can't change others – or, for that matter, the purpose of any given moment as it unfolds – but we can work to place one less demand on both. Only in this action can we hope to find the freedom for which we seek, because the only thing that imprisons us – in the end – is our resistance to whatever runs against our deeply seated demands.

Student Talks: 3/07/2025 - The inevitable sense of emptiness that eventually nips at the heels of most men and women is the sudden realization that in spite of having "banked" a billion self-stimulating sensations -- even when all have been added up -- they still amount to nothing.

Student Talks: 2/28/2025 - The vast majority of humanity views the idea of spiritual rebirth as some sort of prize to be claimed and declared: a new and exciting personal possession, like having won a tropical island in a high-stakes lottery. But true rebirth is nothing of the kind; (it is) a distinct awareness within oneself of a timeless and intelligent awareness -- a fearless and abiding patience, burgeoning with expectation -- that is "in the world (of passing time), but not of it."

Student Talks: 2/21/2025 - Somewhere between the past and the future there is a present waiting for you; to open yourself to its Presence... is to be given a life wherein fear cannot grow because its roots need darkness to spread, and there is none to be found in the holy space of this timeless place.

Student Talks: 2/14/2025 - Perfect peace is not found in some time to come; it has never not existed now. We are created to perfectly reflect this truth...and, in so doing, to realize its freedom.
