No one has freedom of speech who -- for fear of being isolated, cast out, and left alone -- feels unable to speak the truth they would, or to question what they see as false. And how much more so does the above hold true when it comes to the freedom to see oneself as one is... without endless self-judgment, and all of its painful justification. Being free to see is the ground of freedom; in its Light alone grows self-realization.

I want to see it all. There is an inward misdirection going on: a consciousness that doesn't want to see the content of itself. The cost of freedom is the pure seeing of ourselves in any moment, to remain with what is being revealed. All that I see in myself is meant to be brought into that Light, that Awareness. In the moment where you feel the inevitable resistance to the experience of seeing yourself as you are, utter the silent prayer: "I want to see it all. Let me see everything about myself as clearly as is possible in the moment." If you utter that prayer, it will be answered. If you are not free to see, then you are not free to be what God has made you to be.
