You can love an elephant coming towards you, and still know that you need to get out of the way; no affirmation in all the world can change what is organic in nature... meaning inherent in the immediate relationship. Elephants, as a rule, would never harm a human on purpose; it's not in their nature, unless threatened or stressed.
Farmers' chemicals, on the other hand, care nothing about what they do because they have no consciousness to be affected by the one applying (or inhaling) them. The old adage that one who loves God can pick up vipers and not be harmed by them holds true only to the extent that one understands this axiom is born of St. Paul's experience with a poisonous reptile (as reported), but his survival had as much to do with his famous constitution as it did with his belief.
If something is destructive to your physical being, and you have incontrovertible evidence of the same, then the answer is before you. It is your choice to make.
