Real freedom is not what we imagine it is. There is no freedom without the love of God.
Every human being has visions, but we mostly resist them. These visions are what show us our imperfections which cause oneself and others to suffer. We resist, attack, or blame someone else. When we refuse any revelation of an imperfection in us, we refuse the Light that revealed it.
We live from imagined perfection. That is perpetual punishment. It's an invitation from the Light to bring the imperfection to It. What reveals imperfection can change it. Where did we get the idea that it shouldn't be there? What is behind my fear of my own weakness? Fear perpetuates the fear. Perfection constantly arises out of imperfection in a constant state of being completed.
Story: When their castle is under siege, the King tells his three sons to wait for him in a room. Though very afraid, only the youngest one does. The boy stayed because he loved his Father.
We must learn what it means to wait. Let the Light take what is imperfect and liberate me. Darkness wins when it convinces you that its shame is yours. Pretending not to be something is agreeing to it. We need to say, "I want to sit in this Light that's showing me my fear." It's not condemnation, it's healing.
