The Road Back to Being in God

At the root of all of our seeking is a wish to know what love is. A thirst for things spiritual or otherwise is to try to find a way to satisfy through relationship what we yearn for. We can't know divine love until we understand the nature of justice. Once we understand justice there is nothing to do but accept it or reject it. Once we accept it we can see its perfect mercy. We get what we ask for. Once we see this we stop asking for what hurts us. Perfect response meets every request. 

When we begin to look at what we are getting we see that something unknown in us is asking for things for us. Let's say power because we hold an image of what power will give us but what seeks power is really powerlessness. We feel week therefore we seek power. The hidden nature of the requester is the divided mind and it doesn't realize that what it seeks is at the expense of love. Our nature is a request. A tree is enlarged by its essential nature requesting sun, water and nutrients. 

To find fault with unwanted events and then blaming something outside of us, this finger pointing is not part of justice but the avoidance of it. All forms of psychological why is avoidance from understanding the root cause of our pain. We are all cast into this world with a potential to be free. Time is the fire in which we all burn. The new request has to do with being weary of the old request which is the flower of why. We ask why as if we have no responsibility. Why puts a wedge between events and us and creates a further division and movement in time. Every time we ask why it furthers the distance from wholeness. 

The prodigal son left his father (wholeness) and traveled down the road of knowledge and every piece of knowledge became the ground of the next why, images we consider. There is a road back. Do what is given to you to do. We continue to fight with what life has brought to us. This is the root of rebellion. We suffer our own rebellion. Why do we think we shouldn't be part of what's given for us to do. Don't avoid responsibility. Stop hating your life and resisting what life has brought to you. Do what you're given to do and do it well whether you're a CEO or a janitor as long as you don't want to do what you're given to do you're hating your life.

Our lives are given to us and exist independent of the you that doesn't want it. It is intended to lead to absolution and we are always saying what and why. Life is always asking us to do something - to do the moment. Be here. Do what you are given to do now. Begin to reach the end of the "why nature" and see that it is just avoidance. 

What does it mean to take the Road? The road of being here and simply doing what we're given. Seek yea first and all else shall be added unto you. When you take the road whatever is added to you is to complete, perfect and consummate your being so it can return to its essential union with the divine. To take the road is to agree with a new will. Not my will but thy will be done.

1. Be willing to see yourself as you are not as you think you are.
2. Be willing to go through what you would rather not. 
3. Be willing to finish what you start.
4. Be willing to let go of what you value.
5. Be willing to suffer your own dark states in order not to burden others.
6. Be willing to surrender yourself for all of these truths. 

The fact of them will bring you to a new level of understanding. Let the moment be what it is and take the instruction. Then you are free of karmic debt. When you stop avoiding what life has asked of you, you will experience the whole of what life has produced for you. You're a self-wrecking requester. Let go. Let life bring you the request. Learn to taste the inner chatter instead of doing its work.
