Catch those moments when you are angry, anxious, judging yourself, thinking that nobody should ever challenge you, or embroiled in any kind of painful negative state, and see that you are on a one way track that you have been on a million times before. Begin to suspect that identification with a mechanical reaction places you on a track that will eventually result in a collision with something that opposes it. When you see that you can't steer the way you thought you could, you take your hands off the wheel. Work to catch the places in your life where these collisions tend to happen and get off the track. When you feel a collision about to happen, 1) Slow down, 2) Take your hands off the wheel, and 3) See what happens when you don't try to steer around the situation. This is self-discovery. Now you will finally start to see the track you have been on, and as you do you will be lifted above it.
