It really doesn't matter which way the wind blows -- or how often it may suddenly change direction -- as long as you remain at the helm of your ship, never losing sight of the harbor towards which you sail.

Exercise

Start to notice when you're on a "ride" -- of anger, jealousy, resentment, etc. -- and see how every last one of your thoughts and feelings just gives you a sense of self, instead of actually taking you anywhere real. Make a note about your favorite ride and see if you can catch where it first calls to you. Choose to learn about the ride instead of giving yourself over to it, and you will start to outgrow it.
