Exercise
Work to have an awareness of your existence. Example: You're driving somewhere and are having a conversation in your head. Suddenly your attention is captured by something beautiful. Notice how your experience of the moment is now transported into another order of being, a "witness" that comes into existence and experiences the beauty. My sense of myself -- my identity -- is determined by what I'm in relationship with in each moment. When my identity changes, so does my experience. The identity is the expression of a relationship you have with a part of your mind. You can be in relationship with the witness instead, which is always coming into existence and is never apart from the elements that produce it.
