All of us understand that we shouldn't be negative, that it's better to help than to hurt, to give than take. But something in us seems to prefer, time and again, choosing negative states and believing they have value. This nature claims to have our best interests in mind; claims to be "the light" -- but it is not. It is a consciousness that is not aware of the whole of a moment; it's not even aware of itself. It is a nature that constantly feels threatened and looks at the world through "Funnel Vision": seeing only what it doesn't want or what it needs to fix. This consciousness puts our attention exactly on what IT NEEDS TO SEE in order to feel real. Catch the moments when you are caught in "Funnel Vision," i.e. complaining, blaming, reliving an event, worrying, etc. Work to "Drop the Funnel." See that the funnel is produced by a negative certainty that couldn't exist without something to resist. Suspect that this certainty is proof that you really don't know what's going on. "The Feel is Real, but the 'I' is a Lie." A completely new kind of certainty that can't be shaken can then be yours.
