When we understand that our true purpose in life is to grow in the Wisdom of God's Plan, and that this Wisdom we seek itself seeks us to help it unfold in Goodness, then we also realize that whatever disappointments we encounter along the Way must themselves be a part of Wisdom's Eternal Plan. It is for this New Wisdom that we are spared from falling through that darkened door called discouragement; a passageway whose threshold, once crossed, carries the soul to its own unwitting destruction.

Life is a presentation of events that seem to be adversaries, but are in truth, lessons. We can't escape those things that keep coming back to us.
A master is a person who doesn't allow disappointment to turn to discouragement. Disappointment reveals the distance between ones imagined self and reality. Life says," I need to take that image you have away." You are not yet, what you think you are. It's a correction, but in sleeping people corrections turn into infections. A disappointment is a revelation of a false identification. We aren't meant to succeed according to our best idea.
From disappointment descends a "table of evilment." Hopelessness, bitterness, cynicism, resentment, isolation, corruption, rebellion, loss of faith.
We are put here by Goodness for the sake of Goodness. Disappointment when taken properly is a healing force. It has a natural place in the evolution of a spiritual human being.
