Talk Takeaways
It is Grace that shows us our limitations and weaknesses, even as almost nothing in us wants to know about them.
We have been deceived into protecting something in ourselves that lives to ruin our own lives, and by extension the lives of others.
Is anger a strength or a weakness? Anger deceives us into believing it is a strength, but it is a weakness, a limitation that resists the moment and limits our possibilities.
Does strength seek approval? Does strength fear rejection? No, because strength is complete in and of itself, and so does not need to seek for anything outside of itself.
Our greatest weakness is that we do not want to see weakness. The majority of us live in the secret fear of our own weaknesses.
The fear of a time to come only exists within the mind that projected it.
Whenever we become engaged in an interior dialog, part of what is happening is the protection of a weakness from the light of revelation.
The nature that says, "I'm not supposed to be like this" blames its negative state on something outside of itself that supposedly "made it behave that way."
When we resist revelation of a weakness, we become the subject of the consciousness that is resisting so that it can continue its own life.
Weakness always finds a way to hide itself.
"God never makes us sensible of our weaknesses, except to give us of his strength." -- Francois Fenelon
What self love worships is a sense of self that has been cultivated and adopted over time.
"If a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand." -- New Testament -- There is a division in human consciousness, and because of this deep division, everything that we create as human beings is infected by that division. The house divided within becomes the house divided without.
"My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." -- New Testament -- The condition of weakness, not resisted, is what invokes the strength that we cannot give to ourselves.
The condition in which weakness is revealed is what the weakness seeks to avoid at all costs.
Interior division creates a "me" and a "you" that by default are in conflict. The way that the division is healed is by seeing the division. The seeing of that lower level of being is the negation of it. Then a substitution takes place, where the wheat is separated from the chaff.
The weakness that you fear strengthens you when you see and understand that the weakness never really belonged to "you" in the first place.
Weakness and strength are not opposed to each other at all. Weakness is part of larger cycle by which real strength renews itself.
The fearful nature that resists weakness will do whatever it needs to do in order to sustain itself.
