A new insight comes when we realize that we've gone as far as we can go with thought.
We have an obstruction in our minds that we don't know about because we've already named the condition that caused the blockage.
As above, so below; we are part of a celestial circulation system.
Without emptiness, there would be no circulation and therefore no life.
There's always a moment of empty space between resistance and the cause of that resistance.
We are captives of an unconscious kind of circulatory system in which there is no space.
For one thing to move to another state, there has to be a space where it is neither one of those states for a moment.
Wait your turn by allowing the empty space to be there instead of filling it with what you don't want.
Why do we look at moments as if they are demands?
Talking about a problem is only the continuation of the story that we're telling ourselves.
Identification prevents us from remaining in the emptiness.
Guy's poem: "The only reason there's nothing new, Is because your life is too filled with you."
There's a space that exists when you turn and face the problem-maker.
The only time something is truly integrated is when you see it with your eyes, with your heart, and with your body and mind; when you see the whole of it with the whole of you.
What we can't stand is the end of our story.
The mere idea of learning is division.
Nothing can flow without emptiness.
The last thing we want to do is to come to an end about how we think about things.
As the mind awakens, it sheds things without needing words to describe what's not there anymore. It's just present to a completely different relationship with the moment. And it sees; it doesn't talk.
The consciousness is in unending conflict with itself because it keeps trying to prove to itself that it is what it told itself it is, or that it isn't what it doesn't want to be.
We need to see there's no point in trying to be someone or in trying not to be someone that you don't want to be. They're the same; one story teller divided into light and dark.
Emptiness and fullness always exist together, but our mind only sees one at a time.
Emptiness is what happens when the mind sees the play of the opposites.
On the other side of resistance is the flow; the flow is built into resistance.
As the mind grows quiet, as it's intended to, you start to participate in a world that thought can't enter into.
If it's always empty, it's always new.
There's no better exercise than coming back to yourself and relaxing the tension in your body.
