When you see the truth of something, there is no judgment or negativity in it. Real knowledge might have sorrow in it, but never anger or violence.

Every time that you identify with a thought, you are actually praying for the experience that you don't want.

You could not have so many things that you don't want without comparison.

The only thing that you suffer over psychologically is what you know.

To see the truth of yourself is going to hurt the part of you that has been lying to you.

There is no way to know the Divine through the thinker, the knower. The Divine is beyond what can be known. There is no freedom in the known.

There is a freedom already here in the Now before it can be challenged, and therefore it cannot be challenged.

When you finally cannot call on what you know to save you, then you are closer to knowing real freedom than you have ever been.

Everything in nature knows what to do without taking thought.

"What do I do? What does this mean to me?" These are the questions the mind asks when it meets moments that disturb it. Then, the mind turns to its own content to answer those same questions.

Not only must you not resist the unexpected moment, but you must be willing to be unknown to yourself in that moment.

There is no intelligence in unconscious suffering, and yet the suffering nature finds intelligent reasons why it is necessary to suffer.

From the Kahuna story: "When the wave crashes, try to sense up from down. Look for the light, and when you see the light you'll know which direction is up. Look for up, then swim up for the light."

God does not rescue "you." God shows you that there is no "you" that needs to be rescued.
