The Fearless Life Begins with Agreeing to Die to our Fears

It is an illusion to believe that there is a moment coming in the future in which you will gain the control you need in order to feel at peace.

You can never be free from fear as long as you see life as the source of your fear.

We are looking for, and have a need for, a higher life that we cannot find in this world. The life that we find in this world will eventually be taken away.

We will not find contentment in the creations of this world. We will have to find what we need in the Creator.

Every creature in nature surrenders itself for the good of all to the Will of what is greater than itself. No creature is more important than any other creature. Nothing is born, lives, or dies without surrender.

In order for there to be life, there must be something greater working upon what is beneath it. We are always being acted upon by a greater Will.

Life never takes anything from us that it doesn't replace in that same moment. That never-ending exchange is rebirth.

The fear of death is the fear of loss, and the fear of loss doesn't exist without identification with what we believe we need in order to live.

Pain is caused by willfulness, but we are not aware of this willfulness. What is willful resists anything that does not agree with it, and when resistance has taken over we believe that the resistance is our will.

Surrender must be to something higher, not to what our minds say is the good. We don't surrender to create wholeness; we surrender in order to participate in wholeness. Our task is to participate in the life that already is.

The fear of death is a human creation. The fear of death is a nightmare produced by negative imagination.

Surrender is a sacrifice that has suffering in it. There is a cost to surrender, and yet the reward that cannot be imagined is already in your pocket.

There is a life in which "it is done"; no thought is needed in that life because there is no ambition. All is well in that world because all is well with God.

The life that we are being given moment to moment is the only life there is. Yet even as life is giving us something, it is asking us to surrender something at the same time.

Stop trying to figure out what is coming, and start experiencing what is.
