Darkness

Light, love -- all that is good and holy -- already exists. All the wisdom you and I will ever need already lives within us. It's just that we are not where the wisdom is. Why? Because we want to know, to prove, to get. We want to be seen as something special. All of us with that mindset are set to suffer ourselves until one day we see, "This doesn't work." In that same moment the epiphany comes, and suddenly we can see what we have been...

When we look out at the world and don't like what we see, is it really the world we see that is making us sick? Or is the sickness we see in the world the result of the same old reactions that a hundred million human beings have had a hundred million times? The sickness is in this consciousness that has made the world into what it is.

Guy explains that everything that is created wants to live and will fight to exist, including fear and negativity. If you ever want to have a spiritual healing, you need to understand these types of forces that will do everything they can to ensure their own continuation, and essentially prevent a human being from ever finding freedom.

Guy Finley explains that true goodness is not measured by actions that validate the image we have of ourselves as being good. An action that is truly good has no self-reference, and is the natural outcome of being present.

In this short talk, Guy explains how we cannot fail if we will persevere through our darkest moments, because the light never fails to illuminate what presently hides in the dark.
