Remastered Classic Talk: 6/23/17 - 

Part 1: No evil can be done to me save for those moments when -- enmeshed in a forgetfulness not my own -- I can’t remember the Good.

Part 2: The pain of a thousand failed attempts to remember oneself, to put what is true before all else, not only disappears in the flash of each success, but that same light lingers, grows, and eventually comes to outshine the return of any shadow of doubt.

Key Lesson: 
We may ask the same question about unwanted moments in life a thousand times and in ten thousand different ways, but until we discover what those moments are here to reveal, we remain without an answer.

Key Lesson: Looking to any troubled, or any otherwise anxious thought for shelter is like being caught in a rainstorm and running into a house that has no roof!

Remastered Classic Talk: 11/2/16 - What we see, and take, as being the meaning of any given moment -- including our experience of it -- is a direct reflection of the level of self being revealed by that same moment. This invisible relationship between the observer and the observed is the "mirror of the Divine". And it is only in this relationship -- in this "mirror" -- that we are able to discover not only the meaning of Life, but what is also our original role within it.

Remastered Classic Talk: 10/19/16 - Best keep your eye on the interior life; let it be first and foremost. If the direction of outer life interferes with the awareness of the inner, follow the inner. Better they marry, but never allow what is outer to have precedence over the inner... and should this be so, if you're not yet able to do otherwise, then let this (state) be as a sorrow to you until, from out of it, comes the discipline needed to put first things first.

Learn to answer the true need of the moment by attending only to what it asks of you -- and, inseparable from this new intention, to drop any troubled question posed by a disquieted mind that can't see, let alone realize, how it disturbs itself seeking relief from its own unrest!

Classroom Talk: 6/12/2024 - The mind asleep to itself doesn't realize that it created the problem that it can't stop trying to resolve; and that the more it struggles to try and think through a solution to its self-induced conflict, the greater grows its struggle to escape its unseen, self-induced suffering.

Classroom Talk: 2/21/2024 - Spiritually speaking, we have but one problem: we are unable to see that the source of our conflict with life -- including the suffering it induces -- is inseparable from an unseen false belief, as follows: unless we keep struggling with unwanted moments, we'll never reach, let alone realize a time in our life... when we can finally rest from our struggles!

Classroom Talk: 2/14/2024 - Part 1: The witness to experience is not bound by it. Part 2: It's impossible to enjoy any moment in life, while fearfully trying to control it at the same time... that is, unless your idea of pleasure is the pain of making impossible demands on "others," not to mention upon yourself.
