Remastered Classic Talk: 6/15/16 - It is possible to know so much about the nature of fear that, one day, it simply runs out of ways to make you believe in its shaking.

Fear and anxiety do not exist outside of an old mind that -- moment by moment -- creates these dark states in a deeply divided space within itself.

Remastered Classic Talk: 3/30/16 - It is a big mistake to believe that the operation of imagination requires you to be present in order for it to produce either the illusion of a pleasure or pain to come, along with some temporary corresponding sense of self; in fact, quite the opposite is true. Almost our entire present sense of 'I' is thus created and -- as the offspring of a lower level of being -- is largely responsible for all human sorrow.

No matter how challenging the condition may be, regardless how steep the learning curve -- or wide the gap between what you desire to do, and yet cannot -- the first limitation you meet in these moments is always one and the same as an invitation to transcend it. The first imperfection is spiritual self-ignorance.

Classroom Talk: 11/06/2024 - The growth of our soul rarely unfolds in a light that we recognize as such. Many times darkness is the medium, sorrow the seed, and the subsequent humility conceived in these trials...is the divine garden in which flowers our soul.

In this life, death is inevitable; but living in fear of it... is not. And though it is a paradox, to be sure, to see that we live as “prisoners” of our own imagined fears reveals the unimaginable possibility of making the leap into a new, and higher level of being that never dies.

Where is tomorrow's fear other than in today's imagination? And, if this is true -- and IT IS -- then what to do with our attention in the here and now? Let it be swallowed up in the dark shadow of what "may be"...or hold it in the Light of awareness where no shadow can dwell, let alone its fear?

Whatever seems impossible, or otherwise impassible in life is inseparable from the extent of our resistance to it; a fear inherent in the way we're conditioned to see such moments. To realize the nature of this fear is to be released from it, no matter when or how it presents itself along the Way.

Imagine trying to see the whole of an ocean through a ship's porthole, and we have a pretty good idea why (our) life can so often feel small and confined; as if we have no choice but to be swept out to sea on a single wave of some fearful thought or feeling.

The mind asleep to itself doesn't realize it creates the stress and strain it can't stop trying to rescue itself from; and that the more it struggles to think of a way out of its self-induced conflict, the greater grows its struggle.

Classroom Talk: 3/6/2024 - Part 1: When fear creates morality, as well as the rules governing them, there is no longer morality... and it is fear that governs. Part 2: That we should search only our own conscience for confirmation of what is good and true, this is the best definition of integrity; for that which is good and true is not social in nature, but spiritual in need and in deed.

Classroom Talk: 5/17/2023 - The more we look for ways to protect ourselves from fear, the greater grows our inability to see its increasing authority over our heart, mind, and soul.
