Around and within us reside invisible and powerful laws that rule over reality in all its infinite forms. These forces of instant righteousness, or perfect balance, are always at work. Nothing escapes their imperceptible presence; everything yields to the weight of their judgment. We've all heard the phrase, "What goes around comes around." Power -- who has it and who doesn't -- seems to determine who pushes and who gets shoved in this world. And given our preference, if we must choose one, we would rather be doing the pushing. The only problem is that on the level of this field of choices, whether to push or be pushed, everyone loses because push always comes to shove...

Every living thing is searching for something to fulfill itself. Raindrops rush down to slake the thirst of a parched earth, even as water-laden clouds are drawn high into the skies so they can pour themselves out. Streams seek out rivers that rush down to merge with the sea. It's really quite clear: the great circle of life is imbued with a unique kind of "gravity."

There is no greater feature that we human beings have than the presence of a living Light within us whose very nature knows what is our own and what is not our own. When at last we let go of all that is not our own -- all the mistaken conclusions and the painful contusions they cause as we anxiously search to remedy what ruins us -- we find that we already have everything we have ever needed.

Even though we often find ourselves feeling so, in truth... there is no such thing as being powerless. We see how a person who resists life--who hates or fears unwanted changes--becomes the instrument of a power that effectively renders him powerless to do anything but struggle. But we've seen the converse as well...

Remastered Classic Talk: 7/05/17 - What is the true spiritual journey other than the discovery that who we really are is (a) part of a Consciousness that remains, at least for now, unconscious... not just of itself, but also to the suffering inherent in being apart from the Holiness of life.

We only know to look for what our present level of understanding tells us is missing; "Metanoia" refers to the possibility of a higher part of ourselves that we are not present to. We would not know that we are presently blind were it not for an order of awareness that sees.

Topics covered:  We are always trying to recapture a peace that we think we have lost. But the whole idea of restoring a peace that you have lost is an illusion; The mind that believes it has lost its peace imagines a peaceful time to come, which it never reaches; The negative reaction that other people bring up in you is YOUR limitation, not the limitation of the other person.

Classroom Talk: 11/20/2024 - Whenever we kneel to the temptation of some consoling indulgence, or struggle to acquire a power to protect us from a fear...we yield to, and serve the pleasure of a darkened desire that has promised, once again, to save us from (our) pain.
