The proof that every moment - including the most painful of them - is unlimited in its Divine possibility is that one soul perishes for the fear of them, while another (soul) is perfected, and liberated by the same. Simply put, that means that every single moment of our life holds within it, if you will, a kind of fork in the road. "I came upon a fork in the road and I took the one that was least traveled."

Even in the most devastating moments, taken rightly, is a secret invitation asking us to let go of and transcend the self we've been.

My course through each minute and hour is set by what consciousness and conscience call out as my duty; In this compass I have complete confidence. So that whether winds blow fair or foul... is of no consequence to me...

There is no tension, anxiety, or dissatisfaction inherent in being watchful, while stresses of all makes and models are inherent in the illusion that it's possible for you to be in more than one place at a time, doing more than one thing at a time.

Other people do not create any disturbance we feel in the relationship. They are revealing to us in that moment the part of us that lays in the dark and waits to get disturbed so it can hide behind the cloud of war.

How many of you know that, on any given day, you will be standing before a wall? Every single day, to one degree or another, a person runs into something like this: "God, I don't want that," "I wish I wasn't feeling this way," "Why are they doing those things they're doing?" "Oh my God, I've put on 5 pounds," "Oh no, look at the economy"... any one of a thousand different ways in which...

If we ever feel punished by what life asks of us, it's never the moment that's making us miserable. What causes our suffering is that we're identified -- and cling to -- an unconscious part of us that believes nothing else really matters in any moment... save for what it wants.

I have had an incurable disease for 10 years, and have gone through many treatments for chronic physical pain. As a result, I'm wiped out financially and can't work. I am not seeking sympathy, rather would like to deepen my surrender... which is all I live for anymore. When the pain gets overwhelming, I can't observe it anymore, and this opens the door for fear.
