Classroom Talk: 5/8/2024 - Here's why no rest can be found in the thought (of any time to come) regardless how temporarily comforting it may seem: there is no end to the thinker's desire to resolve the angst inherent in its own conflicted thinking...an endless search for a solution to its own unseen, self-induced suffering.
Topics covered: We're always in denial of our own consciousness; The consciousness that says "I don't want" will never push away what it fears; Only a heart that doesn't want something can be free; There is a necessary disturbance that sits at the core of our consciousness; Every disturbance appears with a desire, which is to return to wholeness...
Student Talks: 1/27/2023 - Key Lesson: As long we find value in being identified with anything, we remain the captive of an unconscious nature that not only never stops longing for what it imagines will make it secure, but that also consents to suffer over its inability to satisfy its own insatiable desire.
The appearance of any disturbance in us produces an unseen desire that creates a solution "in time" -- something to get or someplace to be where I will no longer be disturbed. Topics Covered: Disturbance is the registration of a disparity; Affirming and denying forces; Desire is a question that's not intended to be answered by the mind that registers it; You're always in the right place to see the truth of yourself; We want to be loved; Physically speaking, we are cellularly "the past"; State answers state, understanding answers understanding, ignorance answers igno...
Lies hide fear. Fears hide attachments. Attachments hide dependency. Dependency hides the fear of emptiness...
We know in our heart this life, as it is, isn't all there is. Knowing this fact has been a fuel that stirs us to seek something greater. But we get fooled. We accept substitutes for that Greater Life. Guy Finley explains one of the main limitations in our quest to know that new way of living. We don't understand we can't enter into that Greater Life through our own will. That Life is never-...
