We can and must begin to understand the spiritual life before we can live it. But we can't begin to understand something that is above us until we begin to see it.
The unsure self that not only looks for, but attaches itself to codependent relationships -- cannot possibly be the real you. Let's see why this statement has to be true. The real you is that silent "I" within you whose awareness understands -- without having to think about it -- that you are on this earth (going through all of these events) to grow, to realize ever-higher stages of your self.
When a mind is at rest, anything that stirs it is instantly recognized. When we can be awake to what stirs us -- become conscious of what is always pushing us, moving us, drawing us along -- then we have a chance to actually begin to recognize and realize what it would mean to be able to sit in a room and not have our mind pulling on us from a thousand different directions about a thousand dif...
Love exists. She is never not present although her life-giving presence is rarely perceived, much in the same way as we breathe in air moment to moment barely noticing the gift of life it sustains. Nothing exists without Love. She is the secret Heart of all. These are not just words. They are an introduction to an Invitation created when Time began. To what are we invited? Police said he appeared to have hanged himself. By any account, this is sad news, and all condolences go out to family and friends. But the serious...

GF: Welcome to our Fourth of July chat. All over the US today people are celebrating Independence Day. We will honor it too, only not with fireworks that sparkle for a few moments and then fizzle out. Tonight we will work to realize the true nature of Freedom and what it takes to not just ignite this Living Flame within us, but to have its Life become as our own. To this end, to help all of us...
Once something has outlived its usefulness, its purpose for being in existence is no longer needed. The leaf that captures a stream of sunlight and then transfers its energy to the tree serves one purpose in the spring and summer and another completely different purpose through the fall and winter. Its form first appears as an agent to help feed the tree and then, as it dies and falls to the earth, the same leaf becomes food for the tree.
