I am constantly feeling overwhelmed by all the different demands on my time. It seems that I live out each day trying to "keep my head above water." This inevitably leads to discouragement that I will ever succeed at anything. I am feeling overwhelmed by sadness and a sense of futility. I just cannot seem to move out of this negative state because the pain feels so real to me. What inner act...
I have tried overcoming my fears, and fight as I might, I just can't seem to break free of their dark and self-limiting influences. How can I stop fearing this person and trying to protect myself?...
My thoughts run my life, driving me pillar to post. How do I learn to recognize when I'm trapped in useless thinking? I feel drained! I am easily taken over by re-running unpleasant events in my mind. If I say something stupid to someone, I'll hear it in my mind for days afterwards. I know this is crazy, but I just can't seem to help myself!...

Topics covered: "We shall not cease from exploration, And the end of all our exploring Will be to arrive where we started, And to know that place for the first time." -- T. S. Eliot; A paradox is understood when seemingly irreconcilable opposites are seen as complimentary; One question that we never ask ourselves: "If I do something that I regret, why does it seem like that action was the only choice in that moment?"
I lost a great deal of money to a dishonest business partner. I can't believe I could have fallen for such an obvious scam or that a person I thought was my friend could have stolen from me what I had hoped to be my children's legacy. I'm burning up inside with rage, guilt, and concern over what my children will do now. I know this is killing me. What would you do in my position? I am feeling...
It seems to take less and less to make me feel unhappy and dissatisfied with the things and people in my life. How can I rise above the increasing pull of negativity? Every year at this time I get ill. I don't understand the lesson I need to learn. Try as I might, I can remember nothing from the past that would have set off such a pattern. Do I need to be psychoanalyzed in order to become cons...
Painful experiences from my past have a way of coming to the surface and wrecking me all over again. How do I stop engaging myself with the past, and how do I leave this pain behind me once and for all? What is it in me that wants to re-live painful moments from my past, and what's it going to take for me to break through to totally present living? Is there a way to live in the present so that...
Is there a way we can know we are ready to teach others? I have tried and found I normally make things worse. How do I find the balance between the urge to help and when to be quiet? Should we try to help someone with their spiritual development, or must they be "receptive"? What mistake can there be in presenting a few truths to others with the hope that the ideas strike a right chord within...

Question: One of the things I would really like to get better at in my practice is compassion, particularly with my spouse. She is not into what I'm into, but I want to be aware that I am just as helpless as she is. I want to be conscious of that, and I just want to be compassionate.
Question: Is it possible that some of us just cannot learn in a single lifetime? The mind says enough is enough. Having done all I can and failed, there is only a fleeting flicker of light at the end of this tunnel. I accept that only Divinity can provide in this moment, but I'm tired and wait in silence to hear. Knowing I need help, I continue to ask. Will this be enough?
