Our work is to consistently take pictures of ourselves, to be able to step outside the stream of the mechanical, comfort-seeking, falsely-contented self so that we can start to see ourselves as we are, and not as we imagine ourselves to be.

Classroom Talk: 10/11/2023 - Part 1: We can't hope to change what comes out of any given moment until we change the one within whom it appears. Part 2: The task is not to be perfect as imagined, an illusion supported by the pain of unrelenting self-judgment; rather the real task is to do the interior work of seeing ourselves as perfectly as we can regardless of how much we would rather not.

Remastered Classic Talk: 8/16/17 - Unconscious resistance is a mounting suffering born of refusing to see the following: the only way to change what is -- unseen for the most part -- a string of unwanted life experiences... is to die to the level of self that lives to not want what it keeps creating for itself.

Key Lesson: Only the foolish, or otherwise vain try to create a life outside the inexplicable flow of the Divine. The currency of Heaven is change, and the wise invest in its coin.

As long as we seek the company of others in order to avoid being with ourselves, we can be true neither to those with whom we gather, nor to ourselves.

Either the whole of us changes, or not. Seeing ourselves in the mirror of the Divine is not an achievement arrived at by imagining unity one piece at a time. Our true Self is not its individual parts...

Topics covered:  The divided consciousness asks a question about its pain, and then immediately answers its own question; When the mind asks a question, you think you have to answer it; It is possible by the grace of God to come to the end of every last question you have. The question creates the illusion of a self that is stuck.
