You can't work with what you are not, and you can't change what you hope to be. Work begins and ends in the same place: with where you are, and what you are in the moment. Any other effort is but part of a dream, as is the inevitable shock of being awakened from it.

Under unseen celestial Laws, conditions will always reveal the places within us, the parts of us we have not prepared ourselves to meet.

Response is preparation.

Every response reveals the level of consciousness that will meet itself in the next moment.
Part 3
To work on yourself, especially when you don't feel like it, is to prepare the way for a higher order of being, one that knows better than to listen to any parts of yourself secretly poisoning you with the promise that a better time will soon be coming to do so.
