Student Talks: 4/26/2024 - Key Lesson: A tree has many leaves, and -- in one way or another -- the wind touches all of them; some shake, some quiver, some hardly move at all. And, yes: it may be said the tree "knows" their trembling; but neither the wind, nor the leaves it stirs are the tree that feels their passing touch. Thoughts and feelings are like leaves; learning to watch them move is much better than being carried away with every breeze.

Student Talks: 2/2/2024 - Key Lesson: Because we are literally defined by our desires, we are confined to an unseen house of pain that, in turn, has transformed our fertile planet into a prison filled with frustrated inmates... none of whom can figure out why they're unable to escape the consequences of their (own) choices.

Classroom Talk: 11/15/2023 - No single substance -- whether physical, mental, or emotional -- creates an addiction, let alone the pain and conflict inherent in its corresponding dependency; rather dependency is the birthplace of all false solutions with which we first become identified, and then become addicted to... in the vain hope that it has the power to release us from a pain we have yet to understand, let alone resolve.

Classroom Talk: 11/8/2023 - Much as a stalking tiger uses woodland shadows to hide its intention from its intended prey, so does (our) weakness hide behind the (momentary) strength of any negative reaction we become identified with... even as it consumes us.

Classroom Talk: 8/2/2023 - There is no new resistance; regardless how "fresh" the nature of a negative state -- be it fear, anger, frustration or regret -- the only thing that's actually changed in any seemingly new painful moment is what's being blamed for its appearance.
