Classroom Talk: 2/3/2002 - The only reason that any of us ever feel as though we are left out, alone, or otherwise cut off from Love and Life is because we have been deceived into believing and embracing those thoughts telling us that the only company there is to keep is that of our own. Awakening from this dark dream is to cancel the curse inherent in being spiritually asleep.

 

Remastered Classic Talk: 07/17/2016 - We have but a single thing to do to satisfy the Soul and, in turn, fulfill her role in the Greater Plan of Creation. Our one True Task in Life is... to complete the moment as we are given to it. This is the first agreement; and in our obedience (to it) is found not only our freedom... but also the assurance of knowing that whatever sacrifice we must make to that greater end ensures all that follows is always in the best interest of everyone, and everything around us.

The futility and inevitable frustration of trying to “fit” the Immeasurable into our present level of consciousness is like spending a day at the sea shore, and then hoping to take the ocean home with us... in our sand pail...

The Spiritual Secret of the Ages: We are forever looking for a "mirror" ­ a person, place, a thing to possess, even ideas or emotions ­ in which we can see and come to know ourselves, but we find only eventual grief and frustration in such searchings as these because it is impossible for us to find the self-wholeness that our heart longs for in any reflection.

Until the peace and pleasure found within you is equal to -- or greater than any consolation found outside of yourself -- then your power to be patient, loving, and profitable in every moment is, at best, conditional; nothing better serves to sustain anger, frustration, and fear than being identified with a level of self whose life is founded, at best, upon the sands of passing circumstances.

Your true self no more fears an unexpected change in life than water worries about how it will take the shape of the glass into which it is being poured.
