Divine wisdom refreshes the soul by renewing (its) faith... but not faith in the hope of a time to come; rather the willing soul flourishes in the Light of its timeless relationship with revelation... and the consequent realization it has already been given all that is Good, True, and Everlasting.
We have but a single thing to do to nurture the soul and, in turn, fulfill our role in the Greater Plan of Creation. Our one true task in Life is to complete the moment as it is given to us to do. This is the principal agreement, and in our obedience to its will is found not only our freedom... but the assurance of knowing that whatever sacrifice we must make to that greater end ensures all that follows is in the best interest of every one, and everything around us.
What is real spiritual strength? It is knowing that we need never compromise ourselves in any way -- with anyone, or over anything -- in order to be at peace: it is a deeply quiet awareness that our existence owes no debt to any temporary condition, let alone to the passing time in which it appears.
Falling into fear or doubt when caught in the gravity of a painful moment does not prove the world has suddenly turned upside-down. This kind of suffering appears, as it does, for one reason, and one reason only: to help us see that what’s upside-down is our priorities. To realize this as true is the first -- and pre-requisite -- step for anyone wishing to turn their life around, and enter into a New, Truer Arrangement with Life.
Poorest of us all... are those who “hear & obey” only their own reactions, because as long as that in-the-dark level of self remains in “power” -- calling the shots -- we will never see how our struggle to escape unwanted moments serves but one useless end: to escape a prison of our own making.
Being renewed by Life, and starting life all over are one and the same superior, interior action: it starts with becoming aware of, and then bringing a conscious end to any lingering relationship we may have with old thoughts and feelings that want us to keep seeing our life through their eyes.
Many times the best gift we can offer another is what we’re willing to keep for ourselves; for instance, rather than burdening others with our fears and doubts -- or judging them for the same -- we choose, instead, to bear this pain in conscious silence. So that not only might we realize a spiritual strength that can’t be awakened in any other way, but neither do we add to the suffering of others because we’ve yet to learn how to use our own.
No matter what direction you may find yourself turned in at the outset of any given moment, just be sure that before you start walking nothing negative guides your footsteps... or you will never find your way back Home.
One of the greatest enigmas every true aspirant must meet -- and eventually transcend -- in their search for self-realization, is the following: the uppermost path that leads to perfect certainty begins with learning how to welcome Divine self-doubt.
