Then we set out to protect what we have identified with; How can we be immersed in suffering and yet not know anything about it? We don't question our suffering; we question what we believe is the source of it.

Topics covered: The purpose of life is to wake up from the dream life you are in and discover a new relationship with the life that is everlasting; If regret is such a great tool for self change, then why doesn't it work? We go over regrets constantly, so something in us must believe that they are useful; Regret does not transform the self. It ensures the continuation of the lower nature that condemns us through those same regrets.

Topics covered: Independence is innocence. When a person is truly independent, he or she is rooted in an incorruptible nature that seeks nothing outside of itself; An act of true kindness can't be disturbed. An act of true kindness does not place any demands upon the recipient of that kindness. Eventually the human being becomes the pattern.

Topics covered: You can't be at peace with the moment itself until you are at peace with yourself; It is inevitable that everything in nature is always being acted upon and being completed through that action. Why is that not true of us when it comes to a relationship with the Divine? What is interfering with this "Divine inevitability"?; What is it within us that sets boundaries? We end up as prisoners locked within the very boundaries that have been set, and then fear anything that threatens to trespass. We become walking "No Trespassing" signs.

Topics covered: The mind never stops thinking about the experience it is having in the moment, and its experience is the product of thinking; Thought is always telling us the meaning of the moment. The real meaning from the moment cannot be separated from the moment itself. The moment IS the meaning; The life we are seeking -- the freedom and peace we are looking for -- is not waiting for us in a time to come after we have achieved something.

A new understanding changes your relationship with what you want to understand; You serve what you do not understand, and you presently do not understand pain; If we knew that we were inwardly at war all the time, then we would be more attentive to each moment that we enter into.

The medicine is bitter, but it heals; Everything that is not 100% aligned with God's Will suffers as a result of that separation; Stop asking so many questions, and start seeing what is right in front of your eyes; Humanity dwells in a hell of its own making. To be full of anger, self-pity, resentment, fear, or any other negative state is to dwell in hell. Unconscious suffering is hell.

Topics covered: So much of the pain that we have in life is not because of what life present to us. The pain is in our ambition to prove that we are what we have imagined ourselves to be; Real life is a process of discovery. Real discovery is not the enlargement of oneself. Rather, it is the realization that real life is immeasurable; We have a perpetual internal scoreboard that is always measuring how we are doing in the moment. It doesn't want to come out of the moment thinking that it has lost. It wants other people to know that they have lost. It is a set of eyes that measures life instead of meeting it.
