Part 1
It's impossible to separate some false action in life from the pain that it produces, so that the more we learn to consciously suffer that pain, the more clearly we begin to see into and through the false nature responsible for creating it.
Part 2
Do what is yours to do, and drop the painful, fearful sense of self born of the false belief that somehow you are responsible for controlling the outcome of your action.
Part 3
Our first responsibility in any difficult moment is to see not just what the moment itself is asking of us, but who or what within us is in a rush to answer it.
Part 4
We cannot control outcomes because no action belongs to us alone. The moment in which we act -- in fact, the reason we are moved to act -- is because each moment contains innumerable forces, relationships, conditions, histories, and other celestial possibilities.
