Starting Over / New Beginnings

We can keep running through our day -- rushing to get to where the next thought tells us we need to be -- or we can work to let these painful impulses pass into, and through us; there is no other choice: either we’re awake, and aware of the presence of this "demanding self" -- watchful, and willing to die to its dark will -- or we’re caught in its draft, in a painful race going nowhere fast.
There can be no “life after death” without realizing an order of Love that has no fear of dying. This Timeless Witness to its (own) creation doesn’t see death as the end of life, but rather as its invisible partner in a ceaseless act of love.
For every new order and elevated degree of fullness yet to be revealed and realized, a new order and deeper degree of emptiness has been prepared to receive it.
There is no reward for love, let alone for being “loving.” Either love ITSELF is the reward, or it is not.
There are levels of peace and contentment that are unimaginable, because they don't exist in the world of dreams; their nature is beyond desire. And then there are worlds inhabited by fear, conflict, and anger: shadowy realms in which dwell insatiable creatures, each and all dreamed into existence by desire.
Our great hope dwells within whatever supports, strengthens, or sustains our love of truth, where much as candle light banishes any shadow before it -- revealing its nothingness -- so a living faith reveals that hiding just within any dark moment is a light that it knows not.
Faith is a bridge between levels of self; it is an invisible, but real connection between who we have been, and the invitation to realize all that we are created to be.
Our level of understanding is no better or worse to us than is our ability to attend to what we know is Right, True, and Good.
It certainly seems true, and (it) definitely feels that way, but the familiarity of our habitual thinking is not safety any more than one might believe some ill-fated creature locked in -- and confined to a cage -- finds comfort in its captivity.
Silence is how creation pays homage to the timeless Stillness that gave it birth.
All things begin, meet, converge, and are born again in the unseen light of awareness; each and all perfectly bound together -- eternally related to one another -- in an infinite field of unconditioned intelligence.
Much in the same way as a reflection on the surface of the water does not disturb the waters upon which it appears, so must we develop the same relationship with our own reactions.
